5K Run/Walks in Kansas City: Battle of the Bean

I love walking. Walking on a treadmill is fine, but I love walking outside the most. Now that we live in the country, it's so peaceful to walk. I get off the main road and into the neighborhoods and rarely see a car. While walking, I listen to a variety of things on my phone: audiobooks, podcasts, Marco Polo messages (and I sometimes leave them while walking too), music. I'm a fan of multi-tasking, so I get to have some time out of the house, get some exercise, and also feed my brain with a book or information or friend/family updates or uplifting music.

This is a walk I did with my son several years ago, and you can find that post here (he was 12 then and is now 18!). I plan to do it again this winter with at least one of my kids!
